Best Bet For Ole Miss-Oklahoma CWS Finals
For the fifth time in a row, the Southeastern Conference is represented in the College World Series finals. There was no tournament in 2020 because of COVID-19.
This year, the SEC’s Ole Miss Rebels face the Big 12’s Oklahoma Sooners in a three-game championship series, beginning Saturday at Charles Schwab Field in Omaha, Nebraska. Oklahoma is set to join the SEC by 2025.
Last year, the SEC’s Mississippi State Bulldogs defeated a conference rival, the Vanderbilt Commodores, to win the national title.
The CWS is the last major sports betting opportunity for college sports enthusiasts before the football season begins in late August.

2022 CWS Matchup
Ole Miss earned a spot in the 2022 CWS finals by defeating SEC West foe Arkansas, 2-0, on a complete-game shutout by ace Dylan DeLucia. Oklahoma punched its ticket by knocking off another SEC West school, Texas A&M.
If the Sooners capture the title, Oklahoma will become the first school ever to win the NCAA baseball and softball championships during the same year. The Sooners won the Women’s College World Series earlier this month, defeating Texas to claim back-to-back national titles.

Bryant Adams, co-host of the NCAA baseball podcast “Caught Looking,” noted the Ole Miss-Oklahoma series features two of the hottest teams in the country.
“Oklahoma is led by an offense that applies relentless pressure on the base paths and a pitching staff that only needed to use four pitchers in any meaningful action to get through three (CWS) games,” Adams told Gambling.com. “Meanwhile, Ole Miss hits the ball gap to gap and relies on what has been the most impressive starting pitching thus far in the NCAA tournament.”
Adams said the finals could come down to which team’s starting pitching can “hold up the longest.”
“I like freshman lefty Hunter Elliot to get the Rebs a win on Saturday or Sunday and give Dylan DeLucia, who has dominated the competition, a chance to take the ball on Monday night,” Adams said.
Adams’ final prediction: Ole Miss in three games.
