The Esports Integrity Commission (ESIC) is focused on esports integrity and transparency. The authority has been investigating the in-game bug exploitation in CS:GO. As a result of the investigation, some of the gaming coaches may face a ban in the gaming industry. More news is on the GBC website.
There’s still no date for the end of the coaches’ review, but in the end, more than 50 coaches may be banned. In case of a guilty plea, a coach won’t be able to participate in the tournaments and other esports events.
Currently, such a punishment can be very painful due to the Professional Gamers League (PGL) Antwerp Major in Belgium coming on May 9, 2022. This event is important because it’s the first event that is sponsored by Valve.
Such a massive coach ban was in 2020 when the maximum number of punished coaches was 37.
